Victorian Death and Remembrance
WEA Adult Education Course - This course will explore attitudes towards death and remembrance in the Victorian period. It will also look at the changes in customs and practices using a wide range of original sources and examples from the West Riding. The business of burials will also be examined as well as the legal, sensational and tragic nature of death in the shadow of Victorian industrialisation.
