Early 1970's
WEA Adult Education Course - From the feminist movement to the New Hollywood, the early 1970s were a time of enormous social and artistic change. Bloody Sunday and Watergate changed politics, and the Vietnam War came to an end. This course examines all of these developments, with a special focus on the literature and social history of the period. Includes a case study of Seamus Heaney's poetry.
