Archaeology of the Middle Ages from 1000 AD to 1500 AD

WEA Adult Education Course - With the Normans came castles (what were they for? defence? status?), changes in architecture and great religious houses, but what was life really like for the poor and oppressed? Archaeologists working amongst the slums and cemeteries of the medieval period can tell us more. We'll also look at how Richard III was found.
