Wimbledon Afternoon Tea
There is nothing more quintessentially British than Afternoon Tea and Wimbledon.
The social custom of taking afternoon tea was popularised in the 1840s by Duchess Anna Maria, wife of the 7th Duke of Bedford, who entertained her friends at Woburn Abbey, 37 years before the first tennis match at Wimbledon was played.
To celebrate both of these great institutions, The Woburn Hotel has created a bespoke Afternoon Tea available from Monday 3rd July - Sunday 16th.
