Eight Dorset artists and makers have got together to bring ‘Summertime Blues’, an exciting exhibition of mixed work, to Shaftesbury Arts Centre. From 12-25 July you will be able to see unique shibori textile work from Annabel Wilson, wet feltmaking and silk papermaking from Rose Hatcher, glorious hand-inked botanical prints from Robin Moorcroft and Linda Rowe’s fused and Tiffany glass work. Michelle Clements-Davies conjures whimsical seaside worlds from local wood and beach finds, while Richard Gibson uses locally sourced wood to handcraft traditional Shaker boxes and trays. Gillian Smeulders’ bold and distinctive jewellery uses ceramic and silver and, to complete the list, Fiona Kelly will be showing her very recognisable range of domestic stoneware pots.
The exhibition is open from 10am - 4pm Mon to Sat and from 10.30am - 2.30 pm on Sundays. Entry to the exhibition is free.
