Revealing Murgatroyd's Open Days 2018

A unique heritage project telling the story of Middlewich salt making from the Iron Age to present day. On site visitors can see the Brine Pumps restoration project and the Murgatroyd archive collection.
A special tour has been developed for this event, to tell the story of salt in ‘Middlewich through the ages’ from the Roman, Medieval and Industrial Revolution Periods. Learn about the settlement of Middlewich and its part in history with regards to salt-working, trading & supply network, water
Site open to the public 1pm to 4pm on Sat 5th and Sun 6th May. Free entry, no booking required.
Tour will start at Victoria Building, Lewin St, Middlewich CW10 9AT Sun 6th May 12 noon & finish 2pm at
Brook’s Lane, Middlewich CW10 0JG (site) Lewin St, Middlewich (tour), Cheshire CW10 9AT
