Cookbook author, writer and lover of the West Country, Christine McFadden, will host a talk at The Apple Tree Restaurant in Yeovil on Thursday 20 July from 10am to 12pm. Christine, who has written over fifteen cookbooks, including The Farm Shop Cookbook and Tools for Cooks, will delve into her 25 years in the industry, while revealing her latest food enthusiams, must-try recipes and passion for all things Dorset. Raising money for Yeovil Community Arts Association, a local charity run by volunteers, which awards grants to young people studying the arts through an international writing competition, The Yeovil Literary Prize, the morning will conclude with a Cheese Discovery event with Farm Shop manager, Kate Soan. This tasting session, which is included in the ticket price, will showcase a selection of the local area’s award-winning cheeses, which are available in The Apple Tree Farm Shop and Restaurant.
