Join Dr Pete Wilson of Rarey Archaeology to learn more about the hidden history of the site. Today, the peaceful site is a place for walkers and enjoying the birdsong. However, this was not always the case, once home to the Roman soldiers the Fort was a place bursting with life.
Much of the defences of Roman Fort at Malton (Delgovicia) survive as earthworks within the area of Orchard Fields, although the
