WILDLIFE COACH TRIP: RSPB Dungeness, Kent
A coach trip to and guided walk around Dungeness – a perfect destination for winter birdwatching on the Kent coast.
We will start at the ARC/Hanson gravel pits, just outside the main RSPB reserve. Keeping our eyes peeled for ravens and marsh harriers flying overhead, we should see great white egrets as they hunt in the shallow waters. The pits also support huge numbers of ducks, including goldeneye.
Our next stop will be the lighthouse area to scan the horizon for seabirds, such as gannets
Guided walks will be led by Bob Francis and David Hampson (RSPB Bromley Local Group).
Organised by the RSPB Bromley Local Group.
Time: The coach leaves promptly at 8.00am. We expect to be back a
