Music Night at Linton Village Hall with ’The Whiskey River Trio’

Blues from the Bayous! We are delighted to welcome The Whiskey River Trio! An eclectic mix of Cajun, Blues and Country music from the American Deep South, played on a dazzling array of acoustic instruments including guitar, banjo, fiddle, accordion, mandolin, penny whistle and percussion, with 3 part harmony vocals. Martin Blake has been playing guitar and singing since the big Folk-Blues scare of the mid 60s and is still performing regularly today. He started out by playing in pubs and folk-blues clubs and spent a lot of the late 70s and early 80s busking in England and Europe, honing his fingerpicking style by listening to the masters of ragtime blues guitar, such as Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Willie McTell, Blind Blake, Rev Gary Davis et al. He has made myriad musical collaborations on his journey to the present day. Linton is than 2m from J3 of M50. Continue through the village with Church on your left, turn left and immediate left again to come into the Village Hall driveway
