Art in the City –
What can you do in public?
A talk exploring the potential of art in urban
spaces – and what you are allowed to do in public. With a proliferation of public art programmes and artists exploring spaces outside of the gallery, what is art’s place in the city, and what is the interaction with a momentary audience? Eleanor Pinfield is Head of Art on the Underground, Transport for London’s pioneering art commissioning programme, and also sits on the Fourth Plinth Commissioning Group and Crossrail Culture Line Advisory Group.
