Knutsford 'Regina v Turing and Murray' Quarter Sessions records
Heritage Open Day: In 1952, at the Sessions House in Knutsford (now The Courthouse Hotel), Turing was prosecuted for homosexual acts in the trial Regina v Turing and Murray. He accepted chemical castration treatment as an alternative to prison.
This is a unique opportunity to view the record of the trial, in the town where it took place. On Thursday, Saturday and Sunday the Quarter Sessions records can be viewed at Brook Street Chapel, a Grade I heritage site.
