Knutsford Discovering Alison Uttley
Heritage Open Day: Alison Uttley is famous as the author of the Little Grey Rabbit children’s books. Born on a hill farm in Derbyshire at the end of the 19th century she lived briefly in the Old Vicarage in Knutsford and read Physics at Manchester. In 1906 she became the second woman honours graduate of the University. There is much more to her life than children’s books.
