Norcliffe Chapel, Styal
Heritage Open Day: Originally founded in 1823 by Samuel Greg, the owner of Quarry Bank Mill as a gift to the villagers. The chapel was originally Baptist, but later became Unitarian. It is still a member of the Unitarian and Free Christian movement. Quarry Bank Mill and the (fictionalised) story of the Gregs featured in the Channel 4 series 'The Mill' a few years ago.
The Chapel is a well-preserved example of a late Georgian rural chapel exterior with later Victorian addtions and
