Visit All Saints Church and Lewis Carroll Centre at Daresbury

Heritage Open Day: All Saints church in the village of Daresbury was originally founded as a chapel of ease to Norton Priory, over 850 years ago. The present church was rebuilt in 1870 and has fine examples of Jacobean wood carving retained from the old church, and Victorian stained glass windows by John Hardman and Clayton and Bell. The windows in the Daniell Chapel are from 20th century, and include the memorial window to Lewis Carroll, who was born at Daresbury in 1832, and spent his boyhood
