St Thomas the Apostle Church
Heritage Open Day: The original parish church, dedicated to St Thomas, is on the northern outskirts of the town of Launceston near the ruins of St Thomas's Priory and the River Kensey.
Most of the church was constructed during the15th century, but the lower part of the tower is 14th century. Interesting features include a Norman font and tympanum, and two wall paintings.
The site of the Parish church was first mentioned in 1288 as a chapel. At this time it was dedicated to St Thomas A’B
