Auckland St Andrew's Church
Heritage Open Day: A fine Grade I listed church, built around 1274CE as a Collegiate Church, with a dean, 12 canons and 12 vicars. The church is of cruciform plan and said to be the largest parish church in the Diocese of Durham, with an 85ft 4 storey crenelated bell tower at the west end. Believed to be the third to occupy this site.
