Heritage Open Day: Visitors will be able to tour the Free Masons Hall and find out more about Free Masonry. The Cockermouth Free Masons Hall was built in 1885 and is currently home to 3 Lodges, the Skiddaw Lodge, the John Dalton Lodge and the Faithful Lodge. All are members of the Cumberland & Westmorland Provincial Lodge. It is known that there were Lodges in Cockermouth back to 1788 but there are no detailed records of the early years.
