Ashbourne' s Last Remaining Malthouse

Heritage Open Day: Enter through the usually locked green doors, through the archway, over the cobbled pathway to view the brick and stone built 3 storey malthouse. It is 20 yards long and 6 yards wide and was built on the Newark Pattern. It was built in 1785 by Thomas Hemsworth. There will be a guided tour up the stone steps to the front of the building. The guide will talk about the building for 10-15 minutes and take questions. There will be a covered area with display boards explaining the
