Knowle Hill
Heritage Open Day: Visit the picturesque woodland landscape of Knowle Hill, with its eighteenth-century Gothick summerhouse and cosy head gardener’s cottage. Rescued from abandonment by Landmark in 1989, these are the only remnants from a once gracious mansion with elaborate gardens. There are ongoing works to recover and enhance the full picturesque qualities of this wooded valley as developed in the eighteenth century.
Admission is free and leaflets are provided summarising the site’s history
