Famous old boys include William Wills (explorer of the Australian interior) and Richard Carlile (campaigner for press freedom). Trips to the top of the tower in small groups. Several new exhibitions. On the Saturday, Ashburton Food Festival is on, with lots of stalls in St Lawrence Lane and food demonstrations by local chefs and Ashburton Cookery School in the chapel forecourt.
