Blandford Town Museum
Heritage Open Day: Alfred Stevens was born in Blandford Forum and some of his earliest work will be on display. His life story and examples of his work will be shown on an electronic display. There will be a special, temporary exhibit of Alfred Stevens sketches, on which he based his sculptural work. He is best known for his sculptures, which can be seen in places such as the British Museum (Lions incorporated into the gates of the Museum) and St Paul’s Cathedral (Wellington Memorial).
