Heritage Walk of Blandford
Heritage Open Day: A guided walk taking approximately two hours of the town centre, totally rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1731, examining the history and detail of its Georgian and other architecture, including the Grade I listed parish church and other fine buildings designed by architects John and William Bastard.
Includes seeing the birthplace of sculptor Alfred Stevens, who designed the Wellington Monument in St Paul’s Cathedral, and whose bicentenary is being celebrated this year.
