'Within These Walls' An Exhibition Illustrating the History of H.M. Prison Hull
Heritage Open Day: October 2015 marked 150 years since the foundation stone was laid and construction commenced on Her Majesty's Prison Hull. Staff at the prison commemorated this historic moment with a series of activities throughout the month of October including the burial of a 'time capsule' in the grounds and a display in the Gate area.
Hull Prison first opened in 1870 and to begin with held both men and women. The prison has undergone significant changes over its history
