'All Saints Church, Hessle'
Heritage Open Day: There was a church with a priest at Hessle at the time of the Domesday Book (1086). The oldest parts of this Grade I listed church go back to the 12th century and most of the present structure dates from the 15th century. Gifted to Guisborough Priory at some point between 1156 and 1182, All Saints’ was the mother church of Holy Trinity, Hull until 1661.
