Heritage Open Day: 33 Palmeira Mansions was listed in 1978 as Grade II*. The building has a magnificent Victorian interior, comprising of a marble staircase, alabaster tiled walls, marble dados, and many extraordinary fireplaces with elaborate overmantels, these being described in the listing as ‘an outstanding collection of fittings'.
