St James the Less and St Helen's Church, Colchester
Heritage Open Day: The exterior and central part of the church was designed by the acclaimed Catholic architect John Joseph Scoles. He based his exterior design, which came with restrictions from the state, on Caen Cathedral in Normandy. This was an interesting choice because it gave the new church a direct link to the past.
