Cambray Baptist Church
Heritage Open Day: Built in 1853, this Grade 2 listed building is a well maintained Baptist church with impressive architecture and many fine features. Charles Spurgeon preached on the opening day in 1855. There is an elevated pulpit and large gallery with original pews, served by twin staircases. The majestic pipe organ is one of the finest working regularly used organs in Cheltenham, and several recitals will be given during the open days. A large schoolroom was built at the same time.
