Christ Church

Heritage Open Day: This church which is used extensively through the week by the community was built in 1822 as ‘The Spa Church’ by private subscription. It was taken over by the diocese of Gloucester in the 1850s. It has a barrel-vaulted ceiling, Art Nouveau-decorated apse and semi-dome, and Nicholson organ from 1866. The west front was rebuilt in Italian Romanesque style.
