Heritage Open Day: Join us for a 70 minute walk around historic Cirencester and hear how the places we can see today fit into the 2000 year history of the town; from the Romans to the present day, including our great Augustinian Abbey which Henry VIII had demolished to the Civil War in the mid-17C. Hear about a few of the people who helped exploit the wool wealth and then lead the social changes that followed the growth of the free churches after the dissolution.
