Pittville's Hidden Heritage - Pittville Gates Underground Chamber
Heritage Open Day: An underground chamber, probably from the late 19th century, purpose unknown at time of writing. Theories include an electricity booster station for the trams or for the town supply; a transformer for the gas lamps; even a place to store hay for the horses which drew the public carriages.
