Heritage Open Day: Our main attraction is our steam engine, the largest of its type in the world and currently nearing operation. This will be supplemented this year by the opening of our Scutching Room which will feature our collection of textile machinery, steam driven models and other local artefacts. We will be open on both Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the Leigh Canal Festival which will be located nearby offering canal boat trips to the centre of Leigh and other attractions.
