Prince Consort's Library

Heritage Open Day: Purpose built Victorian library founded by HRH Prince Albert, the Prince Consort, in 1860 for the Army in Aldershot. Grade II listed building. Set in its own grounds, the trees planted in 1860, and those since, have become an arboretum popular with birds and mammals. A self-guided tour document will be given to every visitor and talks on the history of the library will be given at 1130 and 1430, historical local maps will be on show.
