Quaker Meeting House Hereford
Heritage Open Day: Discover our Meeting House which is tucked away in a passage off King Street in Hereford. Even people who have lived in the area for many years are surprised that we are here!
The building was purchased by local Quakers in 1821 so has been used for our meetings for 196 years. The building has an interesting history as it was previously used for flannel manufacturing to help the unemployed into work.
From 1883 the Meeting House was also used to teach local people to read and
