Heritage Open Day: This year is the bi-centenary of the opening of the Shirehall and the sitting of the first assize. Designed by British Museum architect, Sir Robert Smirk, this classical building will be opening its doors to visitors who will be able to explore the unique heritage not usually seen by the public.
