A Walk in the Woods
Heritage Open Day: North Watford History Group and Friends of Harebreaks Wood invite you to join us on a guided walk through this area of ancient woodland. While little now remains of the woodland which covered Britain after the last ice age, pockets such as Harebreaks Wood do survive. The land has been woodland continuously since at least the 1600s and is visible on the earliest maps of Watford. Harebreaks Wood is a nature reserve and contains at least 30 of the indicator species which denote
