St Michael's Church Bishop's Stortford

Heritage Open Day: St Michael's is one of the largest medieval parish churches in the county. It was built mainly in the 15th century although the top stage of the tower and spire were built in 1812 and the chancel was raised in height in the 19th century restoration. The roofs of the nave, aisles and chancel are all original and the choir stalls are reputed to have come from Old St Paul's Cathedral.
