Heritage Open Day: The last working smock mill in Thanet (built 1845) has been renovated over the summer and aims to hold 'grinding days' over the Heritage Weekend - the mill last operated 5 years ago. On Saturday we shall hold a 'commissioning' ceremony and stalls from the local archaeologists and beekeepers for the occasion will be set up in the back meadow. Roman buildings have been located near by and Thanet would have been a bread basket' for Caesar
