Heritage Open Day: Boys & Maughan, Solicitors, are mounting an exhibition to celebrate the 250th anniversary of India House a Grade !!* listed building where they have their main offices and described as a highly unusual 18th century crenellated Palladian villa on a diminutive scale. It was built for Captain John Gould, a tea planter from Calcutta who was possibly the earliest recorded example of a seaside retiree.
