MONKTON NATURE RESERVE
Heritage Open Day: Thanet's premier inland nature reserve and home of the Thanet Observatories has recently been upgraded with more accessible paths and a refurbished Museum Room with natural history and geological exhibits PLUS a brand-newclassroom/cafeteria log cabin adjoining the Field Studies Centre.
There are 16 acres of diverse wildlife habitats to explore including adventure trails, a sensory garden, a damselfly pond, eight species of orchid and 26 species of butterfly.
