Heritage Open Day: Margate's oldest building dates from the time of at least Henry the Eighth bridging the gap between the mediaeval open hall and early Modern houses. It was very high-status since it included not only glazed windows but two chimneys.
Volunteer guides are available to point out the details and explain the history.
