Heritage Open Day: Visitors will be able to find out about the work undertaken by the Friends group, Friends of Miss Whalley's Field.
This Open Day is designed to inform visitors about the heritage of the field and to raise public awareness of an event we are planning for Sun 3rd Dec '17. This date marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Capt Julian Whalley at the battle of Cambrai in N. France. Miss Whalley gave the field to the public in memory of her brother, Julian Whalley.
