Heritage Open Day: New observation tower built next to the old Coast Guard station. National Coastwatch Institution, Rossall Point, set up by volunteers in 2008 to keep watch over ever shifting sands and the fast tides of Morecambe Bay. Assessed annually and supporting SAR partners, when required.
