St Katharine's Church
Heritage Open Day: St Katharine's (The Church on the Hill) is a landmark for miles around and has been so for more than 8 centuries. The present Grade II listed building was built in the early 1900s but the tower dates back to Elizabethan times. The church has links to Arley Hall (now Wigan Golf Club) and Haigh Hall, Wigan.
