Heritage Open Day: Woodend Mining Museum is the only Museum in the Burnley area dedicated to Coal Mining and it is opening its doors for the Heritage Open Days. Come and view a superb collection of Coal Mining Memorabilia, much of it donated by local men who spent their lives under ground in the Burnley area hewing coal.
