Our Lady & St Nicholas, Wanlip
Heritage Open Day: The 14th Century Church of Our Lady and St Nicholas will be open for visitors. On display will be the memorial brass of Sir Thomas Walsh and Dame Katine his wife who were responsible for building the current church in the late 1300's. This brass is reputably the oldest with an English inscription. In the Churchyard the grave of Rasselas Morjan, born in Abyssinia circa1820, a former slave at Wanlip Hall, may be visited.
