Pelham's Pillar

Heritage Open Day: Erected to commemorate planting of 12,552,700 trees by Charles Anderson Pelham, Lord Yarborough between 1787 and 1828. Pillar foundations laid 1840 by his son, finished by his grandson in time for Prince Albert's visit in 1849.
