Christ Church, Birkenhead

Heritage Open Day: Grade II listed building built in 1849 for worship but consecrated in 1854 due to financial problems. It houses a famous ‘Willis’ organ which draws visitors locally and abroad. Wilfred Owen and his family, and other notable people worshipped here. Two WW1 war memorials, one being a stunning carved pulpit.
