Heritage Open Day: Croxteth Hall was the family home of the Earls of Sefton for over 400 years. Today the Hall shows life in an Edwardian Country Estate, both the aristocratic life of the Earl and the more humble but essential work of the servants in the Hall. Rooms are set out to show the country house lifestyle at its heyday, when privileged guests would flock to the 'country seat' of aristocrats, enjoying weekend house parties, supported by a small army of footmen, butlers, chefs
