St Agnes's & St Pancras's Church
Heritage Open Day: An 1885 Grade I listed Victorian Gothic church designed by J L Pearson. From the outside it appears an ordinary red brick Victorian church, but step inside and you see a glorious soaring stone interior with much stained glass by Kempe. The style is 13th-century English gothic 'with French touches.' The stunning alabaster reredos and 'Adoration of the Lamb' apse carvings were designed by Pearson.
